Below are some of the most frequently asked questions that we get.
Questions about how the School works
The first bells sounds at 8:40 and school finishes at 3:00. Please arrive to school in good time.
Morning break is at 11:00 until 11:15 and lunchtime is 12:15 to 12:55.
Pizzas, bacon sandwiches, sausage sandwiches. Sometimes sausage rolls. Plenty of drinks are available too including juices and water.
£1.80-£2.20. There is a limit of £4.00 per day.
You can add funds through school gateway online or there is a cash system in place at school. Funds can be added at designated biometric points.
Outside if the weather is nice. The performance Hall can be used if it’s a rainy day.

Homework is set by each subject accordingly.
Sometimes you will be asked to physically hand in a piece of homework. Sometimes homework can be done electronically and your teachers can see if you have completed the homework or not.
This maybe done via:
- Showmyhomework
- Google classroom
- SIMS Learning Gateway
We have achievement points that can be built up towards:
- End of year trips
- Hot chocolate Friday
- Certificates
- Texts/Phone calls home to Parents/Carers
Behaviour points, isolation, meetings with parents and Head of Year.

Questions about the timetable and learning opportunities
You have one tutor period a day and then 5 lessons per day.
Core subjects like English, Maths and Science. You will study other subjects in much more depth at Secondary school. For example, History and Geography.
We are proud of our facilities that include state of the art whiteboards for learning, amazing Sports facilities including a gym and Science labs.
